Pull Up A Chair

A chairlift. An Adirondack chair looking out over the valley at Four Points. A stool at T Bar. In Steamboat, a seat is not only a seat. It's an invitation. That idea became the throughline for the town's latest campaign from Futuristic, Fortnight Collective, director Jesse Levine, and editor John Rodosky. Shot in a DIY style and packed with a mix of footage, the work reflects the laid-back, welcoming energy that makes this cowboy ski town one of a kind.

Steamboat is more than just epic runs and powder shots. It’s the laughter on the lift, tapping Buddy for good luck, and Bloody Marys at T Bar after a perfect day.— Director, Jesse Levine

A run-and-gun crew set out to capture a well-rounded perspective on and off the hill, chasing the in-between moments nobody plans but everyone remembers. Working closely with Fortnight, Jesse and the team drew on years of experience shooting in Steamboat, weaving in some of their own favorite memories to create scenes that make you feel part of the ride and in on the fun. To keep things as authentic as possible, production leaned on the crew's deep community connections in Steamboat to cast real people and scout locations that reflect the town's unique spirit.

Blending formats so the campaign feels like something a friend shot on the fly rather than a produced piece – this multimedia edit combines film photos with imperfect compositions, POV moments, "dad cam footage" and more, all mirroring how people might actually document their own trip. An observational, keep-the-cameras-rolling approach let moments unfold naturally, so real chemistry and organic soundbites became key beats in the final edit. Editor John Rodosky tied the many types of footage together with a patina-like effect, creating a lived-in, rough-around-the-edges feel that pulls you straight into the story.

Our favorite trip memories are never just one thing. They're a collection of images, places, people, and small moments that add up to something bigger. This campaign captures that same feeling.— Editor, John Rodosky
